The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially announced the CTET February 2026 notification on 27th November 2025. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) February 2026 aims to establish the eligibility of candidates for recruitment as teachers for Classes I to VIII across Indian schools. Interested candidates can apply online from 27th November to 18th December 2025 via the official CTET website. Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

1. Paper I (For Primary Stage: Classes I-V)

  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
  • OR: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
  • OR: Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (Note: Subject to Supreme Court rulings/NCTE updates regarding B.Ed for primary level).

2. Paper II (For Elementary Stage: Classes VI-VIII)

  • Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  • OR: Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
  • OR: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for applying to the examination, though candidates must be at least 17 years old to be eligible.

  2. Click on the link “Apply for CTET Feb-2026”. Register using your Email ID and Mobile Number.
  3. Fill application form with your personal, educational and contact details.

  5. Pay application fee.
  6. Submit and take printout for future reference.
