Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
1. Paper I (For Primary Stage: Classes I-V)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- OR: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- OR: Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) (Note: Subject to Supreme Court rulings/NCTE updates regarding B.Ed for primary level).
2. Paper II (For Elementary Stage: Classes VI-VIII)
- Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- OR: Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed).
- OR: Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
Age Limit
There is no upper age limit for applying to the examination, though candidates must be at least 17 years old to be eligible.
